Return Policies

General (Non-Textbooks)

The SCC Campus Bookstore accepts returns for a full refund up to 30 days from the original purchase date and must be in saleable condition. (Exceptions apply). An original receipt is required for a full refund. Returns can be mailed in.

Please include copy of receipt, name and phone number. If an original receipt isn’t available, the SCC Campus Bookstore may provide one of the following options: an equally valued exchange or a SCC Campus Bookstore gift card for the current price of the item.

Refunds will be issued in the same form as original purchase.

Textbook & Course Materials

Textbook/Course Material returns are accepted with receipt through the first 10 days of each semester. If sealed or wrapped, the seal must not be broken. Access codes must be intact and unused. The SCC Campus Bookstore will determine whether books presented for return are in new or used condition.

Summer term returns are only accepted during the first 3 days of class. You must return the book in the same condition it left the store.

Rental Textbooks

Please refer to your rental agreement for rental terms. Rental textbooks may be returned in-person or via UPS.

Please include an SCC Book Return form to ensure your textbook rental return is recorded correctly. Rental returns without this information may result in late fees or replacement book charges.

Clothing/Gifts

All items must be returned within 30 days from the original purchase date and must be in saleable condition with merchandise tags. An original receipt is required for a full refund. Returns can be mailed in. Undergarments, jewelry, linens, and articles that have been washed, worn or torn, are non-returnable.

If an original receipt isn’t available, the SCC Campus Bookstore may provide one of the following options: an equally valued exchange or a SCC Campus Bookstore gift card for the current price of the item.

Online Merchandise

All merchandise must be returned within 30 days of its ship date. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless the merchandise is proven defective or the wrong merchandise was shipped. All returned merchandise must be received in saleable condition.

School and Office Supplies

All school and office supplies must be returned within 30 days of purchase, unopened, and in saleable condition. Special orders are non-returnable without prior approval and may be subject to a restocking fee.

Defective/Wrong Merchandise

If you receive defective merchandise, or are sent the wrong item(s), please contact us at 618-634-3218.
